Overview

Finance has long operated with tools built for reporting the past rather than shaping the future. Mosaic set out to change that. Founded by former Palantir operators frustrated by fragmented finance software, the company built a Strategic Finance Platform designed to give CFOs a real-time understanding of how their business works — an approach that would later lead to its acquisition by HiBob and integration into a broader HCM platform.

When Mosaic partnered with Together, the product vision was clear, but the brand and website needed to communicate a new category: Strategic Finance. Mosaic wasn’t simply another FP&A tool or dashboard. It was infrastructure for modern finance teams. Over a partnership spanning five years, we helped the company speak directly to a new generation of finance leaders redefining how businesses plan, grow, and operate.

Defining a new category: Strategic Finance.

Mosaic entered a market crowded with legacy FP&A software and spreadsheet-driven workflows. We helped reposition Mosaic around the concept of “Strategic Finance” — moving the conversation away from reporting and toward decision-making. The brand reframes finance as an active operating function, one that connects departments, forecasts outcomes, and guides company strategy. It establishes Mosaic not as another finance tool, but as the system modern finance teams rely on to understand and run their business.

Bringing strategy into the brand experience.

Finance software often defaults to neutrality: safe visuals, predictable language, interchangeable design. Mosaic needed something sharper. The brand expression draws from the logic of strategy itself. Structured grids echo financial models and spreadsheets, while references to chess introduce the idea of foresight, planning, and calculated movement. Illustration, typography, and motion work together to suggest analytical precision.

Building a website designed for growth.

The website became the primary environment where Mosaic’s evolving brand system was applied, tested, and refined, shaping how the company communicates across product, marketing and campaigns. What’s more, it had to support education, demand generation, and ongoing category building. We redesigned the experience around clearer journeys for finance leaders at different stages of evaluation. Behind the scenes, content migration and CMS restructuring created a system that Mosaic’s marketing team could evolve quickly as features expanded.

From Series C to acquisition.

The brand and website launched at a pivotal moment in Mosaic’s growth. Following our collaboration, the company raised a $25 million Series B and $26 million Series C to expand its platform for SMB and mid-market finance teams — reinforcing the broader vision of Strategic Finance that this project introduced. In early 2025, Mosaic was acquired by HiBob, integrating its planning expertise into Bob’s global Human Capital Management platform and bringing financial and workforce planning together for the first time.
